O
Occultation: The passage of a celestial object in front of another. A special case of ocultation is an eclipse.
Oort cloud: Some astronomers believe that there is a cloud about 50 000 AU away from the sun, which harbors long-period comets. This clouds is called the Oort cloud.
Orbit: The elliptical path of an object that is gravitationally bound to another object.
Open cluster: A system of many stars that are gravitationally connected. This kind of clusters are usually very less dense than globular clusters.
